We at Creative PR were sad to hear of the passing of Yellowstone Public
Radio’s Lois Bent. We always enjoyed calling YPR or meeting her at one of
the public radio conferences because it meant a chance to chat with Lois.
Ever curious and always enthusiastic, we loved her interesting and funny
tales about her own vocation and avocations. Though perhaps we had only a
slight acquaintanceship, Lois was one of those people who planted friendship
and good humor like a flag wherever she went. We feel lucky to have known
her. Our condolences to her family and to her co-workers at YPR.
Broadcast from the host’s radio & tv studio aboard his motor yacht “Airwaves,” home ported in Palm Beach, FL, the show treats listeners to a entertaining, high-energy, swinging program featuring music from the Great American Songbook performed by contemporary stars such as Michael Bublé, Diana Krall, Anne Hampton Callaway, Harry Connick, Jr, and Rod Stewart, as well as all-time greats like Frank, Dino, Sammy, Tony, Bobby, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Keely Smith, Louis Prima, Vic Damone, and Jack Jones. Famous guests drop in on the party and Robinson shares interviews from his long and illustrious career.

Creative PR just returned from a whirlwind week spent in St. Paul, Minnesota for the 35th Annual NFCB Conference.
We met with NFCB’s new President and CEO, Maxie Jackson. Maxie is a charismatic man who we are sure will bring the NFCB into the next generation. Many of the talks and sessions dealt with new technologies and how to implement them in local stations.
There was a great energy to the conference as a whole. The presenters, attendees, and vendors all seemed to be enjoying themselves and each others company.
It was fantastic to get to see old friends and make new ones! Additionally, it was amazing to finally get to put a face with a name and voice of many Program Directors, General Managers, and Producers that we pitch programming options or collaborate with throughout the year.
The Conference wrapped up on Saturday afternoon with Democracy Now‘s Amy Goodman to giving closing speech.

ABOUT : New Directions has provided comprehensive services to thousands of veterans in Los Angeles County.
Los Angeles has the largest population of homeless military veterans in the nation. An estimated 20,000 veterans live on the streets of L.A. — eleven percent (11%) of all homeless veterans nationwide. Many of these men and women suffer from co-occuring disorders, including substance abuse, mental illness and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), as well as chronic medical problems.
Since 1992, New Directions has provided comprehensive services to thousands of veterans in Los Angeles County. More than 800 men and women seek outpatient services from the agency each year, and 225 veterans receive round-the-clock care at five different residential treatment centers. Also, currently in development is a 147-unit supportive housing facility for homeless and disabled veterans.
